My cousin too lost her life in a car crash. She was working with a Los Angeles DUI lawyer and always told everyone not to do drunk driving and in the end this only took out her life.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Krise38)Tue, 22 Aug 2017 05:09:12 +0000 Re: Fatal Car Crashhttps://bmoesnewsforum.runboard.com/p227849,from=rss#post227849https://bmoesnewsforum.runboard.com/p227849,from=rss#post227849Thanks for the heads-up on this last night, KH. I knew Lisa all my life - went all through school with her - and I thought that Duane Pick was her father ... thanks for setting me straight. To Claudette: thanks for posting those lyrics here. That song is very healing. We played it at my grandmother's funeral and it chokes me up every time I hear it ... but it is so fitting. Let's not forget to keep this family and the family of Stephanie Rhoden in our prayers. We call them family, Give them our love. Throughout our lives, we share good and bad times, Until one day you hear those eternal 'chimes.' It's time to leave, your time here is through. I thank God for letting me borrow you. I can't begin to understand why or how, Why you, why us, why now? I won't begin to say I understand, Only that it's part of God's "Master Plan" God help me to remain feeling somewhat whole, For I feel as though I've lost a big part of my soul. You've gone now to lands truly unknown, I pray you've found your new and glorious home. Re: Fatal Car Crash -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- What a terrible story! I went to school with Lisa and knew her well. I hadn't heard this yet. My oh my ... I just saw her last week and we talked and laughed for about an hour. You never know that's gonna be the last time you see someone. I offer my prayers and support to the Pick family.    The following are the lyrics to a beautiful song by Reba McEntire that fits this situation very well. IF I HAD ONLY KNOWN If I had only known It was the last walk in the rain Id keep you out for hours in the storm I would hold your hand Like a life line to my heart Underneath the thunder wed be warm If I had only known It was our last walk in the rain If I had only known Id never hear your voice again Id memorize each thing you ever said And on those lonely nights I could think of them once more Keep your words alive inside my head If I had only known Id never hear your voice again You were the treasure in my hand You were the one who always stood beside me So unaware I foolishly believed That you would always be there But then there came a day And I turned my head and you slipped away If I had only known It was my last night by your side Id pray a miracle would stop the dawn And when youd smile at me I would look into your eyes And make sure you know my love For you goes on and on If I had only known If I had only known The love I wouldve shown If I had only known   nondisclosed_email@example.com (Claudette Ferguson)Fri, 18 May 2007 17:02:08 +0000 Fatal Car Crashhttps://bmoesnewsforum.runboard.com/p227822,from=rss#post227822https://bmoesnewsforum.runboard.com/p227822,from=rss#post227822quote:Police charge driver with reckless homicide in crash that kills two Kentucky.com May 18, 2007 The driver of a vehicle involved in a Friday morning fatal crash in Greenup County has been accused of driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Kentucky State Police said Donald Robinson, 22, of South Shore, was arrested on those charges as well as two counts of reckless homicide. Passengers Lisa Pick, 23, of Portsmouth, Ohio, and Stephanie Rhoden, 23, of Ashland, both died when Robinson's vehicle crashed into a tree. Robinson was not injured and has since been lodged in the Greenup County Detention Center, police said. Police said the crash occurred about 3:20 a.m. as Robinson was driving south on Flat Fork Road in South Shore. Investigators said speed also appeared to be a factor in the crash. A third passenger, Robert Roe, 26, of South Shore, was treated for injuries at an area hospital and has since been released. Lisa was the tall, curly red-headed girl that worked at Second Street Dairy Bar. She was a beautiful person inside and out. My prayers are with the family.
